HOPE THRIVES

It’s an eternal truth that we can neither choose our parents nor the genes that carry hereditary traits. We, as children of our parents, are merely instruments that carry on their genetic coding in varying forms. Our dear friend Kaustubh has been tackling genetic diabetes for almost a decade now. As a result, this prolonged diabetes has bestowed upon him another unwanted gift of hypertension (high BP). Unfortunately, as a result, both his kidneys have now failed. He has been taking measures to avoid its aggravation for quite some time. Nevertheless, his overall health has continued to deteriorate over the years. He was forced to seek treatment for these ailments. Unfortunately, as of now, we cannot say things are smooth on his end; rather, they are deteriorating every day. Both of his kidneys have now stopped working completely. He had to consult a kidney specialist. As per the advice of his nephrologist, he has been undergoing dialysis twice or thrice a week for the last three months. This is likely to continue in the near future as well. Taking into consideration the recovery prospects and in order to seek a long-term solution to this problem, the doctor has advised him to go for a kidney transplant.

On the sidelines, along with allopathy, he is also being treated by Dr. Arshad Ali, MD (Medicine), who specializes in treating such diseases using Bio-Chemical salts.

With all these treatments, dialysis, and medication schedules, his work has stopped completely. With no income due to the loss of work, his financial condition is extremely precarious. His inability to carry out any work, which would enable him to take care of household requirements and day-to-day needs, has put him in a very bad shape. Taking this into consideration, Kaustubh and Aarti need an amount of Rs 6 lakh to take care of household needs for the next 12 months.

The expenditure for the kidney transplant surgery is likely to be around Rs 15 lakh. The cost of dialysis for the next six months would be Rs 2.40 lakh. In short, a total of Rs 24.40 lakh is required immediately so that we can offer him a chance to get well, do what is necessary as suggested by the doctors, and stand on his feet again.

Needless to say, because of the prolonged illness, Aarti and Kaustubh have already exhausted whatever little savings they had. The only way to overcome this crisis and meet the urgent financial requirement is to seek help from the kindness and generosity of friends and relatives. Therefore, Kaustubh and Aarti earnestly appeal to all their friends, relatives, institutions, and organizations to open their hearts and contribute generously to this life-saving cause. Your support, no matter how big or small, can make a tremendous difference in their lives. Please extend your compassion and help them by contributing a minimum of Rs 10,000 or multiples thereof to the following bank account or UPI ID.
